AltadenaWILD’s beautiful new website was designed by two very generous Altadenans, Jessie Ourique and Lauren Randolph, our December 2024 Volunteers of the month. This “power team” gave their professional expertise and leadership experience in communications, event planning, and multimedia initiatives to upgrade and enhance the capabilities our website. They skillfully captured the spirit of Altadena’s love of natural spaces and of AltadenaWILD’s focus to preserve them.
Jessie is deeply committed to community engagement and environmental conservation, actively supporting efforts to protect local wildlife. She enjoys hiking the scenic trails of Altadena with her family and two dogs, refining her sourdough baking skills, and exploring creative projects.
Lauren hikes Chaney Trail almost every week with her dog and friends. “I would love for it to remain in its natural state so that my daughters can one day enjoy hiking it as they grow older. While we have successfully fended off one threat to its preservation, the work is not over.”
We’re amazed at their creativity and commitment, and grateful they brought it to AltadenaWILD!
